joey wheeler yu-gi-oh!
the hard working, dedicated older brother who can do literally ( almost ) no wrong in her eyes. they differ in time lines but it doesn't seem to have stopped them from being their usual, familial loving selves toward one another. her idolizing knows no bounds, really. and she is excited to hear that joey is currently seeing someone and hopes that, above all else, his happiness is what comes and remains from the relationship. having become a bit distant from her untimely accident, she's been less and less out and about and thus hasn't really been spending as much time with her brother as she might like. the "good" thing that came of her problem was getting to move in with the kaiba brothers and her brother; all sharing one roof together! and little by little, she has begun to come around from the sadness and fear that had been afflicting her. she does hope spend more time with him especially since she is beginning to think that he might need someone to talk to about things going on in his relationship...

duke devlin yu-gi-oh!
brought together by the powers of fate and tristan taylor's bad luck, she trusts duke rather implicitly due to a number of times that either he, tristan or both have managed to save her from one thing or another. or just pick her up when she's down. as a result of his protectiveness, she's developed something of a crush on the young manthough also on tristan and perhaps now being here without one of them around there might be an opportunity to explore the possibility of a romance! not only has there been a possibility of a romance, there has been a budding one! officially together, duke has been a really great boyfriend for her and she's appreciated his patience through her horrendous ordeal. now that she's feeling marginally better and is opening up to being outside again, she's hoping that the pair of them can continue to explore their relationship and grow, going out more often and using this place as a "new chance" to be together instead of wondering what might be were they back in their own world.

yugi mutou yu-gi-oh!
her big brother's best friend and she can see why considering how extremely endearing, sweet and kind yugi is. it's really difficult not to just totally like the guy one hundred percent from the get-go! he's very determined and always there for his friends, both are aspects of his personality that serenity is really quite fond of and is a fan of his go-getter attitude.not that it's blatant but she does find herself wondering if téa may have a crush... from all that happened, she is weighted with the guilt of yugi's comatose state and worries about how he might feel about her after all of that. he's better now, of course, but she still finds herself fretting now and then. all she can do is hope for the best and perhaps watch from a distance as he keeps on keeping on.

téa is a really exceptional girl with various talents chief among them being her uncanny ability to mother hen the boys. she's a realist and serenity can appreciate that. she's always been really very nice to her and there isn't much bad that someone could say about téa aside from, maybe, being a bit nosy. but aren't we all, really? now roommates, she appreciates that without téa's reminders of how close and how much they all look out for one another things might never pick up from the bad. with téa's help, she was even able to land herself a job thanks to the recommendation! she enjoys working with her friend especially now that she no longer shares a room with her. sooner or later, she's going to have to face the music and return to work and when she does, she'll be more than excited to get to spend time with téa again. but... they should also just spend time together in general because she is a good friend and is very missed.

serenity isn't actually all that familiar with yami outside of yugi's physical form. there are similarities between the pair of them for certain but it's pretty clear that yami is more serious and slightly stoic over yugi's joviality. there's a certain level of maturity to him, too. that being said, they share the same determination and they're both confident in their skills and their friends, which makes him pretty good in her book.

seto kaiba yu-gi-oh!
normally an arrogant jerk type of person, serenity was surprised when it was he whom led her from traverse town to her brother whom, as one could guess, she was desperate to find. she's also very likely the only person to accept seto and joey as a couple without any reservations in spite of his previous treatment of her brother. seto might not have always been the nicest of people but he seemed to make joey happy and that meant a lot to serenity. she considers him to be strong willed and very intelligent, and hopes their relationship can grow since he's dating her brother. after the "episode" with yami bakurawhom she still does not know the identity of she has since moved in with kaiba, mokuba and her brother. ( and noah. ) it's been strange to move so quickly into something akin to a familial situation though she knows that it's her "fault" for sticking her nose into business that got her paying for her actions. it's nice and secure, she feels at home and very safe with the kaibas and appreciated the sincerity behind his offer when it was made. she only hopes that she can repay him for the kindness somehow in the future.

serenity isn't all that familiar with bakura, honestly. in spite of not really getting to know him much due to his falling into a coma after his duel with yugi, she does sense that there is good in him and hopes that he will recover ( or he has, being here! ) from the ill result of the match. with luck, in this "universe," they'll be able to meet properly and become friends with one another.

this person, whom she generally refers to as "the whited haired boy," is the one she thought she was going to help when she ran into her demise. still uncertain of who he actually is, she has been hiding in her new room to avoid any potential contact with him as he wasn't exactly sent to prison for his misdeeds. she keeps her distance from traverse town as a result and worries about running into him. while not entirely certain about his motivations; she can recall that it had something to do with yugi and his millennium device. she had only hoped to protect her friend...

joey and duke have been great for her, and seto kaiba has been amazing, too — but for her, lady having literally swooped in and stolen her away from halloween town to get her to safety where she stayed with her until she felt even marginally better, makes lady the real hero among all her friends. she seems to have lady on something of a pedestal and admires her strength, kindness and compassion for her friends. she's happy to be out and about so she can spend more time with her now that she's trying to put he past behind herself.

gardenia was like a breath of fresh air in a situation that serenity hadn't realized was needing it. forced to perform on the network a sad song that displayed her feelings pretty openly, gardenia was someone who took notice and helped her feel better about her situation in spite of not getting into any nitty, gritty details. she appreciated it quite a bit and may have to send her a small gift of thanks sometime in the future for all the insight and wisdom shared that night.
