the hard working, dedicated older brother who can do literally ( almost ) no wrong in her eyes. they differ in time lines but it doesn't seem to have stopped them from being their usual, familial loving selves toward one another. her idolizing knows no bounds, really.

duke devlin

brought together by the powers of fate and tristan taylor's bad luck, she trusts duke rather implicitly due to a number of times that either he, tristan or both have managed to save her from one thing or another. or just pick her up when she's down. as a result of his protectiveness, she's developed something of a crush on the young man ~~though also on tristan~~ buuut with the latter ( initially! ) out of the picture the pair struck up a romance which has since dissolved in a break up.

her big brother's best friend and she can see why considering how extremely endearing, sweet and kind yugi is. it's really difficult not to just totally like the guy one hundred percent from the get-go! she might not really know him all thaaat much but she has been through thick and thin with him thanks to a certain shadow realm loving individual...

téa gardner ♰
yu-gi-oh!

arguably her bestie from domino, téa is a really exceptional girl with various talents chief among them being her uncanny ability to mother hen the boys. she's a realist and serenity can appreciate that. the only so-called downside to her personality is being sooort of nosy! but what girl doesn't like gossip? téa is someone that serenity aspires to be like because of her strength and her wisdom. care to impart more of those brains onto the gents, maybe?

yami "mutou"

serenity isn't actually all that familiar with yami outside of yugi's physical form. there are similarities between the pair of them for certain but it's pretty clear that yami is more serious and slightly stoic over yugi's joviality. there's a certain level of maturity to him, too. that being said, they share the same determination and they're both confident in their skills and their friends, which makes him pretty good in her book.

seto kaiba
yu-gi-oh!

normally an arrogant jerk type of person, serenity was surprised when it was he whom led her from traverse town to her brother whom, as one could guess, she was desperate to find. she's also very likely the only person to accept seto and joey as a couple without any reservations in spite of his previous treatment of her brother. seto might not have always been the nicest of people but he seemed to make joey happy and that meant a lot to serenity. she considers him to be strong willed and very intelligent, and hopes their relationship can grow.

mokuba kaiba
yu-gi-oh!

the younger kaiba brother and someone she feels she has a lot in common with where their family situations are concerned, at least when their brothers come into question. she idolizes joey similarly to how mokuba does seto, both are fiercely protective of their brothers and both would do most anything to keep them happy. she doesn't particularly know mokuba all that well but she does find him to be nice, sweet and easier to talk to than seto.

ryou bakura
yu-gi-oh!

to be fair, she's sure that ryou is a really nice person. she met him, briefly, when mai was put into the shadow realm and he had fallen unconscious... but he happens to have the unfortunate physical trait of sharing a face with someone she considers especially ~~heinous~~ dangerous and as such, she's avoided him at all costs. it's a shame since they might get on otherwise...

yami bakura
yu-gi-oh!

he murdered her. plain and simple, it's difficult to think of him in any other regard that someone whom she should be avoiding and never speaking with once again. she had thought that she was lending a hand to someone in need... that naiveté of hers will likely be the untimely end of her ~~again~~ in the future. part of her wants to warn others about him but the larger part simply wants to pretend he no longer exists.

tristan taylor
yu-gi-oh!

he was a total thug at one point in time but he's super sweet now! one of two boys that serenity has something of a crush on... although his lack of being around pushed her toward accepting to date duke, she's really pleased to have him around now because she missed her friend. besides, he's a dueling master, right? he still has to teach her!!

he's a creation of kaiba's to help him with practicing when it comes to dueling yugi but he's also much more than that! he's become an intricate part of the family and household, a great friend and someone to turn to if help is needed. it might be a little weird to have him around since he looks so, so much like the others but... it's been more beneficial than awkward.

she doesn't really know a whole lot about this kid other than he really, really likes bugs and for some reason, he and her brother just cannot. get. along. fortunately she hasn't had to step in as mediator yet! ~~there's still time...~~

she's an incredible individual capable of taking on the form of both a dragon and a humanoid alike. serenity seems to have lady on something of a pedestal due to the help she provided when having met with yami bakura and admires her strength, kindness and compassion for her friends. she would be only too happy to have a fraction of her prowess.

he's her boss at the café where she works with ~~téa~~, sophie and emily. he's a pretty fair guy as far as work goes and he seems to be really nice! he has to have some head for business to run a successful place. he's also pretty playful and tends to call people by nicknames instead of their proper names. hers is chickadee.

brietta sullivan ♰

they met kind of by random happenstance but thanks to brietta, she was able to avoid being mugged in the agrabah bazaar. she's gotten close to her and considers brietta to be something of a best pal for her. given how many guys she knows thanks to her brother, brietta is a breath of fresh air and since téa isn't around anymore, she's just the gal pal serenity needed.
